Access Notes

Youth Project programs are accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility aids. We can book ASL interpreters for the program you want to attend, and our virtual programs have closed captioning. We provide masks for all participants to wear together to keep each other from getting sick. For stim toys and noise-cancelling headphones, ask your program facilitator!

While together, we will be engaging in lighthearted conversations about gender, femininity, makeup, clothing, and anything the group would like to discuss. Each month will have different activities.

Lucky 13

Lucky 13 is a substance support space for young 2SLGBTQIA+ people age 19-30. This is an anti-carceral program rooted in harm reduction, working to understand our personal and complex relationships to use, addiction, and recovery - not valuing one experience over another. This program does not have a goal for participants to work towards sobriety or abstinence (unless self-driven), but to build community through shared learning.

Step into the vibrant world of ballroom culture with this introductory workshop designed to celebrate self-expression, confidence, and community. Participants will explore the foundations of two iconic voguing styles: Old Way, rooted in precision and strength, and Vogue Femme, a fluid, powerful form that embraces grace and individuality. This class offers a safe, affirming space for all to learn the history, technique, and cultural significance behind these art forms while moving, posing, and connecting with their authentic selves.

Housing Support Drop-In

The Youth Project will be on site for Drop-In Housing Support at the Alderney Gate Public Library [60 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth] on the first Tuesday of each month, from 4–6pm.

Our Housing Support Program connects 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 16–30 to a Housing Support Worker who can provide access to resources and services, help with applications to subsidies, and support folks in navigating housing issues.
